Dorothy Ngoma is Executive Director of the National
Organisation of Nurses and Midwives of Malawi. She is also Chair of
the GCAP Malawi platform.
"Enough is enough. The people should not continue to suffer with
people like ourselves, our leaders, and the international community
doing nothing about it. There are enough resources to go around in
this world and support the poorest of the poor . . ... Malawi faces
many problems like the high maternal mortality rate, HIV and AIDS,
TB and malaria: these problems can be history if we stand, speak and
act."
In 2006 she helped mobilise 1 million people in rural Malawi, this
year over 2 million people in Malawi took part in Stand Up and Speak
Out on October 17th and helped break the record for the biggest
recorded mobilisation in history..
Watch Dorothy deliver her video message on the depserate need for
decent healthcare and education systems in her country.
